Cuckoo Inlet

Cuckoo Inlet is set in woodland along the shores of a sheltered inlet. Cuckoo Inlet is one of the few real waterfront homes on Mull. There is a beautiful decking allowing you to sit out and watch the birds on the water.

The house, sleeps up to 11 - five bedrooms, 2 large reception rooms with 2 and a half bathrooms.

The house is filled with white paneled walls, rugs and polished wooden floors, mixed fabrics to sofa and armchairs, paintings and old Dutch Indonesian lamp over one of the dining tables.

Accommodation: Downstairs - entrance lobby leads to an entrance hall with entrances to both the Annexe and the Main House. 

The Annexe holds a twin bedroom, bathroom, double bedroom with an additional single bed and views over inlet. A breakfast room with views over inlet with doors to front and rear gardens.

The Main House has an open plan kitchen overlooking the dining and living area with a wood burning stove.  A door from living area leads to an outside wooden decking - which has a high rail. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs in the Main House is the master bedroom (super king size bed) with a door to a balcony overlooking the inlet.  A bedroom with twin beds and small settee, a bedroom with bunk beds.  And a large bathroom.

Heating is by storage heaters and wood burning stove.

Equipment & Services: TV, books, a basket of logs, two dishwashers, two stoves, two freezers, two fridges, microwave, washing machine and outside furniture.

Sights and Sounds: Whilst the majority of the large windows and doors of Cuckoo Inlet over look the sea, the views are varied - sea frontage, trees, hills, a heronry, water birds, occasional seals, otter, deer and bright starry nights. There is the whisper of the water moving at night, the wind in the trees and the dawn chorus.

For parties of 6 or less, the downstairs bedrooms and breakfast room can be excluded and the price reduced accordingly.
